I’m going to the OC for the weekend to chill with friends from high school — only one of whom actually lives there anymore. But a few of them will be in town to visit their parents, since this is what is known as “summer vacation” to those who get some notion of a time they can just leave and aren’t leaving responsibilities behind them when they do. 
And even though my family isn’t in Irvine anymore, I’m just trekking down there to hang with the girls.
It should be a blast — we haven’t had a “girls’ night” like this since Spring Break during my senior year at Cal.
And after that, I’ll be in Seattle for a whole two weeks, before Labor Day in DC and then PDC madness in LA. Awesome.
